Abstract. A technology and instrumentation have been developed for a combined dewaxing and deoiling process for implementation in a unit operating in a cyclic mode: oil dewaxing with slack wax accumulation, slack wax deoiling with paraffin recovery. The unit is configured for the simultaneous production of oils and paraffins/ceresins. A small amount of deoiling filtrate (slopwax) is a by-product. Pulsating crystallizers are used to produce a paraffin suspension at the dewaxing stage, with the possibility of slack wax recrystallization during its deoiling. A specific unit is used as an example to demonstrate the high efficiency of implementing the proposed set of technical solutions. The annual output of oils and paraffin-wax products is significantly increased by eliminating the cyclic operation of the unit with variable oil and slack wax production during the processing of selectively purified raffinate, paraffin, and slopwax during the unit’s operation in the slack wax deoiling mode. This is also facilitated by an increase in the unit’s throughput in terms of the dewaxing feedstock—raffinate. Energy consumption, operating costs for equipment repair and maintenance, and solvent consumption are reduced, while the environmental safety of production is improved.
