Abstract. The relevance of the work is determined by the current trajectory of reducing emissions in the oil refining industry. The use of petroleum-based products is associated with a number of environmental problems, such as large greenhouse gas emissions, depletion of natural non-renewable resources, as well as soil and water pollution. As an alternative to these products, biomass and waste from various industries are processed using various thermochemical processes to produce bio-components that can be successfully used in asphalt materials. Road surfaces are exposed to vehicles and temperatures that cause destruction, mainly cracking, leading to the destruction of the coating, after which restoration measures are needed to extend the service life of the coating. This article discusses the possibility of obtaining a valuable bio-component through the process of rapid pyrolysis of biomass, as well as its involvement in further oil refining.
