Laboratory studies of the effectiveness of alkalinity desalted oil

The set of studies has been conducted on the reconstructed pilot CDU which is adapted to receive samples of desalted crude and the subsequent alkalization. The studies estimate an effect of type of oil alkalization additive (NaOH, Na2CO3, NaOH + Na2CO3) as far as its concentration in aqueous solutions and its discharge rage on the prevention rate of HCl release while further refining. The most effecttive alkalization additive (NaOH), the range of its optimal concen tration and recommended filing point in the technological scheme for primary oil refining were installed.

Ultradeep hydrodesulfurization second diesel fractions

In this study, the process of hydrotreating of straightrun heavy diesel fractions and their mixtures with the secondary gas oil. Heavy diesel fractions were obtained in Lukoil Neftochim Bulgaria (LNB) on installations of primary distillation and vacuum distillation (SRGO 240–360°С and LVGO) by the distillation of crude oil “Urals”, to install soft hydrocracking (diesel fraction MHC) and the installation of FCCunit – a heavy recycle gas oil (FCC FNL).
Diesel fractions were subjected to hydrotreatment catalyst with CoMo KF757 group Stars, produced by Akzo Nobel in a pilot plant with a wateredbed reactor under the following conditions: temperature range at the entrance of the reactor 300–380°C; hourly space velocity of raw material feed (LHSV) in the range of 0.5–2 h-1, the total range of the reactor pressure 3.5 MPa, the ratio of hydrogencontaining gas / raw 250 Nm3/m3. It was found that all investigated ultradeep hydrodesulfurization of middle distillates is described by a kinetic equation of the order of 1.5 with an activation energy in the range 20–24 kcal/mol. It also found that the reaction rate constants are a linear function of the content of sulfur in the feedstock, dibenzothiofen, nitrogen, aromatic compounds and total polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons.

Influence of aqueous phase acidity on stability and viscosity of bituminous emulsions

For research of water-emulsified asphalts stability a rapid method has been used, developed by Gubkin oil and gas university for the stability factor estimation of water-bitumen emulsions, and a photomicroscopy method for studying the samples dispersity. Results of work show an essential influence of the aqueous phase acidity of emulsified asphalts on their viscosity and stability.

Efficiency increase of a screen sizing process at intra-unit coke treatment

At the LUKOILPERMNEFTEORGSINTEZ an industrial research is performed on petroleum coke screen sizing at its treatment inside the delayed coke unit. The experimental data obtained allows to recommend conditions and parametres of the screen sizing process and the vibration screen design to increase the electrode fraction >20 mm yield.

Hydro-upgrading a liquid product of used tyres pyrolysis

Possibilities of application and/or optimisation of techniques developed for hydroupgrading of secondary oil fractions are observed, at production of end products (hydrocarbon solvents and fuels for power systems) from a product of used tyres pyrolysis. Characteristics of the liquid pyrolysis product are resulted. Use of the techniques developed by the KATAHIM Open Company provides getting valuable products from used tyres which do not have now any qualified application and do fatal harm to the environment.

The possible mechanism of the relationship of carboemission and nitrogen monoxide formation at the chambers of the internal-combustion engines
At this article it was shown that in addition to the common mechanisms of the nitrogen monoxide (NO) formation, at the chambers of the internalcombustion engines it also may take place the formation of NO at the surface of the recently formed dispersed carbon (DC) “hot” particles which didn’t reach yet the heat equilibrium with the surrounding gas. By the calculations with regard to the conditions at the combustion chamber of the lowsized gasturbine engine TS20 it was shown that the last mechanism may exceed the Fenimore’s one (fast NO formation) by 10 times and may come close to the Zeldovich’s mechanism which is traditionally considered to be the main one.
