Perspectives of lubricant oils production in Russia
Keywords: base oils, motor oils, gear oils, hydraulic oils.
Production of modern quality level lubricant oils is impossible without I-IV group base oils. Russian oil companies, following the world practice, consider projects of plants receiving base oils of II and III groups, some companies are already implementing such projects. New motor, transmission, hydraulic and other base oils primarily for domestic manufacturer are being developed with the usage of II-IV group base oils. It is pointed out that testing resource and Russian additives are insufficient for high level lubricant oils receiving. Also state financial support of the only specialized institute of the branch – VNIINP JSC – is required.

Trends on the oil refining catalysts market

The Russian market of catalysts for oil refining processes largely depends on import deliveries of companies like Grace, BASF, Süd Chemie, Haldor Topsoe, Criterion Catalyst Company, UOP, Axens etc., in spite of the fact that domestic competitive catalysts are developed for a variety of oil refining processes, including catalytic cracking, hydrotreatment, isomerization and reforming.

Ways of conditioning the oil gained from oil-saturated grounds

Two ways to condition the oil-bearing grounds are observed: catalytic treatment with alpha-olefins and hydrotreatment. It is shown that both alternatives are effective to increase the saturation capacity extent of oil and to get quality products out of it.

Formation of grain-size composition at coking cycle shortening

Researches of coking feeds carried out at the LUKOIL-PERMNEFTEORGSINTEZ in laboratory conditions on the basis of heavy oil residues and distillate products, influence of coking conditions on electrode coke fractions yield being studied, as also its mechanical strength and volatile matters content. The coking operating conditions and water cutter working parametres promote increase in >8 mm coke fraction yield.

Mathematical modelling of linear alkylbenzene production process taking into account the feedstock recirculation

Mathematical modelling of linear alkylbenzene production process taking into account the recycling of the unreacted feed is observed. A computer modelling system created, its basis being a physical and chemical model of paraffins dehydrogenation process. Applied use of developed computer modelling system and advantage of offered production engineering observed here.

Oil trap water-oil emulsions: mechanical impurities removal and dehydration

In oil preparation and refining processes stable trap water-oil emulsions are formed, 0.5-1.8 %vol. of processed oil. The problem of involving into refining such emulsions being different from traditional ones is rather actual. Absence at refineries of accessible and effective ways of preparation of these emulsions to refining can be explained by an insufficient level of knowledge in the reasons for their abnormal high stability and absence of special demulsifiers, effective in destruction of emulsions with raised mechanical impurities content. The purpose of the present series of papers being a generalisation of long-term works by the author with employees is filling of this white space in the theory of formation and practice of destruction stable high-watery oil emulsions with big mechanical impurities level.
Papers are devoted to:
• research of aggregate stability of trap water-oil emulsions of treatment facilities;
• studying of composition and properties of emulsifying agents gated out from samples of trap emulsions, and mechanical impurities and their influence upon emulsions stability;
• working out process of preparation to refining the trap emulsions with a raised mechanical impurities content;
• working out special demulsifiers.

The new Russian Standard – Marine Fuels

Since 2012 in territory of the Russian Federation new GOST R 54229-2010 on Marine Fuels inures. Technical requirements to fuels and test methods correspond to the International Standard ISO 8217:2010, demands to safety, acceptance rules, transportations and storages, manufacturer's guarantees are stated in edition taken over in Russia for Marine Fuels. Standard specifies the requirements for Marine distillate (4 categories) and the residual (6 categories) fuels.
