Deep vacuum distillation of fuel oil

The technology of deep vacuum distillation of oil tar with maximum yield of vacuum gasoil of the given quality is studied. Hydroejector vacuum generating systems (VGS) are shown to be more efficient as compared to traditional steam jet ejectors. The necessity of renewing the working liquid of VGS by a fresh one and stabilization of the working liguid for removed light hydrocarbons and water is discussed . The possibility of using the developed technology for vacuum distillation of visbreaking atmospheric residue is shown.

The feed for production lubricating oils from high boiling vacuum gasoil and adjacent petroleum residue

Low-viscous (v100 = 5,5 CS) and viscous (v100 = 9–10 CS) distillates with low evaporation ability are produced from high-boiling vacuum gasoil (FBP 560°C) by vacuum distillation. The stillage residue mixed with the heavy oil tar is a deasphalting feed. The technology was developed for design of the vacuum column of Novokuibyshevskiy plant of oils and additives.

Solvent deasphalting – a promising basis of high depth of oil processing

The results of the pilot study of deasphalting of the sample of sulphur-bearing high viscous tar with production of propane-butane deasphalted oils and asphalts are given. The deasphalted oil in mixture with vacuum gasoil is used in pilot experiments of catalytic cracking on the “Tseokar-ZF” catalyst, the asphalt in mixture with the diluent (dark product) is used for production of road bitumens. The efficiency of this technical solution is stated. Besides, the coke applicable in aluminum industry, with rather low content of vanadium and sulphur was produced from the propane-butane deasphalted oil at the pilot plant.

Features of the technology of petroleum residues visbreaking in the presence of aromatic diluents

Features of the technology of petroleum residues visbreaking in the presence of aromatic diluents are studied. It is shown that addition of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) has an inhibiting effect on coking reactions, increases the yield of end products and the inter-regeneration run. Expedience of usу of catalytic cracking gasoils as PAH concentrates is substantialed. The results of visbreaking in the presence of aromatic diluents, obtained in industrial, laboratory and numerical studies, are analyzed. Features of the visbreaking vacuum residue obtained in the presence of aromatic diluents, are found out. The most efficient routes of its usage are offered.

Development of the technology and the complex unit of petrobituminous rocks processing

The results of experimental works on extraction of petrobituminous rocks of the “Beke” field (Kazakhstan) aimed at withdrawal of organic mass are given. The quality of the products, produced in the process of extraction of petrobituminous rocks, by the aromatic solvent is shown. The obtained data permitted to determine the solvent composition, the modes of extraction, centrifuging and fractionation of the organic mass, extracted from the bituminous rock, as well as the modes of drying and briquetting of the extracted sand, promoting production of the following finished products: diesel fraction, road bitumen and artificial gravel. The equipping of the complex unit of petroleum bituminous rocks processing is offered.

State of the problem of delayed coking units mechanization

The analysis of delayed coking technique condition shows a big positive experience being gained here in recent years, which allows to solve more effectively questions of world-class coke units design and construction. Condition and quality of delayed coking equipment is observed.

Adaptable technology of petroleum residues coking (dualcoking)

The adaptable technology of petroleum residues coking (Dualcoking), providing production of both anode petroleum coke and baking (coking) additive, has been developed. Features of quality requirements to anode cokes and baking (coking)additives are discussed. Different alternatives of the process realization in processing of straight-run feed (tars, asphaltites, etc.) and secondary feed (atmospheric and vacuum residues of visbreaking process, cracking residues) are studided.
The possibility of minimization the quantity of distillates and fuel-grade coke with low volatile content according to the developed technology is shown.

Stabilization of petroleum coke quality before calcining

Analysis of the reasons of variation of calcined petroleum coke quality has been done. It was determined that the main reason consists in instability of granulometric composition of coke during feeding into the calcining furnace due to segregation of coke particles according to their size during “bin” operations. The methods of decreasing segregation by means of feeding crushed coke from storage pits by special conveyers or by segregation into different fractions with their subsequent mixing immediately before entering the calcining furnace is offered. The authors think this method to be the most promising.

Development and realization of the optimum technology of petroleum cokes calcining

The analysis of petroleum cokes calcining technologies using retort, chamber, drum, heart, electric furnaces is done. The data on choice of optimum technologies and furnaces of petroleum coke calking and selection of equipment are given. The comparative data of furnaces and technologies are stated.

Production and use of modified nano-structural bitumen compositions

In the introduction to the article it is stated that use of high guality road bitumens does not always permit to solve the problems facing the modern road building industry. Different types and structures of road bitumens are analyzed. It is shown that non-blown residual and compounded bitumens can be refered to nano-systems with “zol” type structure. Bitumen nano-systems of “zol” type are more plastic than “zol-gel” type structures, and together with high adhesive characteristics this guality provides high hydrophobic properties of asphalt-concretes produced on the basis of these structures.
It is shown that strength characteristics of asphalt-concretes can be greatly increased by modifying road bitumens with special adhersive additives and polymeric modificators. The bitumens modified by the adhersive additive of cation type acquire the ability of safe adhersion with the majority of mineral materials used in road building. Strength characteristics and water stability of asphalt concretes are improved permitting to increase maintenance-free utilization of hard road surfaces.
Modification of bitumens by polymeric materials makes it possible to greatly improve strength and low-temperature characteristics of bitumens and asphalt concretes on their base. Importance of the correct choice of components in the polymer/plasticizer system is indicated.
Development of the knowledge about the mechanism of directed regulation of compositions and properties of bitumen and bitumen-polymer nano-struictural systems and about interaction of these systems with cation-active substances and polymeric materials permitted to produce the material of a higher and in achievable before level of quality-polymerasphaltconcrete.

Design analysis of different technological schemes of elemental sulphur production with revealing the influence of separate stages of the process on the total degree of conversion of hydrogen sulphide into sulphur. The scheme of the sulphur production technology is offered combining high degree of sulphur extraction, satisfying the modern ecological requirements, and high economical data (production of utilizable heat carrier, low capital and operational expenses).

As an example of international experience application on aviation fuel supply objects creation joint work carried out in co-operation of domestic and foreign companies are considered.
