Questions of expenses management in the DOWNSTREAM block of vertically-integrated oil companies
Keywords: vertically-integrated oil company (VINK), expenses, cost price, investment, management, calculation, monitoring.
The essence of expenses management is a problem of certain aggregation of registration information in the quantity necessary for users to take timely and proved decisions at various levels of industrial activity. In the article methodological approaches to the solution of problems of efficient control upon the activity of vertically-integrated oil companies are considered.

Technology of processing heavy oil residues at 430-450°С with no hydrogen use
Keywords: oil refining, heavy oil residues, thermo oxidation cracking, oil refining depth.
Results of thermo oxidation cracking (TOC) in the pass-through unit effectively processing vacuum residue, atmospheric residue, and also the waste oils and oil slimes in a mix with black oil are given. The statement that the TOC developed by authors is the most effective way of processing vacuum and atmospheric residues is proved. The way of switching the visbreaker into the TOC operation mode is stated, and expected economic benefit of this modernization calculated.

Low-temperature cracking of hydrocarbons in cavitation ultrasonic fields (Conclusion. Begins in 6-2009)
Keywords: low-temperature (cold) cracking, cavitation, ultrasonic (acoustical, wave) machining, ultrasonic affecting, acoustical radiation.
Parametres of ultrasonic effects providing possibility of destructive changes at processing of hydrocarbons are revealed. Laboratory experimental unit with a pass-through ultrasonic reactor using magnetostrictive emitter with an input to 5 kW has been created. It was found that ultrasonic exposure of petroleum products in the conditions of the maximum acoustical activity of cavitation leads to changes of their fractional, hydrocarbon, group and element composition. On the basis of unit operational experience an experimental technological module for processing oil feedstock up to 100 litres has been designed and constructed. In experiments with West Siberian oil it was found that as a result of ultrasonic exposure at feed temperature about 100°С the gain of diesel fractions can reach 8–9% to feed volume.

Ageing of oil at storage (Conclusion. Previous parts in 5, 6–2009)
Keywords: crude oil, storage of oil, ageing of oil, microorganisms, life, biological degradation of oil.
Processes of crude oil ageing being studied on a pilot unit with cylindrical vessels simulating tanks for long-term storage of oil. Conditions of natural and forced ageing of Urals oil were observed at various storage temperatures in fixed and rotating models. Observations carried out within two years. Correlation found of active evolution of microbiological processes (first of all purposively infected) and deterioration of oil (increase in viscosity, density, change of sulfur content and percentage disproportionation of normal alkanes). At natural ageing of oil a similar regularity of evolution of microorganisms and deterioration of oil was discovered, yet a bit stretched in time.

New requirements of the European parliament and the European commission to ecological properties of fuels
On April, 23, 2009 the instruction 2009/30/EC of the European parliament and the European commission has been published. The instruction is basically devoted to questions of reduction of greenhouse gases and first of all CO2 emission to atmosphere. But as internal-combustion engines are one of the basic sources of carbonic gas, the instruction 2009/30/EC contains decisions bringing essential amendments to the instructions 98/70/ЕС and 2003/17/ЕС regarding establishment of requirements to automotive gasoline and diesel fuel.

Ship fuel. Lecture 1. Assortment of ship fuels and their quality requirements
Keywords: ship fuel, ship power installations, fuel oil, technology.
The assortment of domestic ship fuels is considered:
- Naval black oils F 5 and F 12 in accordance with GOST 10585,
- Low-viscous ship fuel with TU 38.101567-2005,
- High-viscous ship fuel E with TU 38.1011314-2001,
- Ship fuel (ISO 8217) with TU 38.401-58-302-2001,
and requirements to their quality observed.
